I have purchased their 2TB storage plan. Have not tested yet if the restore works, but their app is using 5-20% of my CPU at all times even when it is not uploading anything to Degoo! There is an app option to get extra space by letting Degoo use unused processor time, but I have this option turned off. Unless Degoo fixes this issue, it is a company that should not be trusted.

Back-up gaat normaal in het begin,, maar naar het einde toe heeft die nog amper 5Kbits/sec, waardoor een backup dagen in beslag neemt. Voor mij een waardeloze troep.
Hmmmm. Odd. I am running their software right now and have been watching it for over an hour. It has never used more than .7 percent of my CPU and a max of 118 MB of memory. I do have the sharing function turned off.
I, as well experience a 20% of my CPU hit uploading at 12Mbs. That is 20% of a Ryzen 2600 6c 12t CPU, mind you. It did appear to stop after the upload completed however. I got the 10TB lifetime for $99 so I imagine it would take me months upon months to fill that up all while sapping my computer. I might try to route my data uploads from an old netbook so this CPU debacle doesn’t ruin my normal user experience.
Can you upload from an external hard drive?
Be careful with your data. Degoo will allow you to upload anything you want with promise of encryption and data privacy. Once you have your data uploaded, the client is so bad that you will only be able to download a small number of files at a time. I used it to backup my phone pictures and then I tried to download the full folder and it just won’t work. It’ll say it’ll take days to download, and then it will fail.
Also,data privacy is a lie. They go through your files to check for copyright infringement and if they find a single mp3 file, even if you own it, they will use this as an excuse to cancel your paid account. Degoo is a scam. Search the web and you will find a lot of cases like this.
